Well I'm sorry to say that I've done what I wanted to do with the levels that have been released as SLPs. I am still thinking of a potential Checkpoint Charlie level, but I'm having trouble understanding the terrain and how to replicate the city streets of Snake Born. On the plus side, I will use the template level to make tutorial videos.

Recently, I've added an engraved knife in the hut with the spare soldier's uniform in Black Book. Also in the same mission, the two soldiers who have a scripted conversation now have new jobs on Saboteur difficulty once they finish talking. One goes to have a nap, and the other alternates between fixing one of the tires of the nearby truck and taking a leak near a tree.

However, v0.3 of the Enhancement Addon will not be released for some time as I want to get more dialog re-recorded, and I'm also after some translators (Hiei- serves as the French translator, but I also want some German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese translators) for new and existing texts.

Can't really do more than I already did/tried for now, still struggling to create a proper room so I guess I'll wait until some tutorials about this part are released (whatever I do on 3DSmax, I can't import it properly in the editor).

Once I'll manage to create a proper one, I'll probably do a little level (I think I understood the anchors pretty well and so that I can do basic IA guards), I already have an idea about it (something about the size of "A New Life" in Hitman Blood Money which is basically one big house and a few surroundings), then try to do more difficult things.

I am also waiting for the videos (unable to load saved objects from another map on terrain properly) also I think I am beginning to understands scrips and anchors pretty well. Just waiting for official video tutorials.

Hey allrounder, are you still having problems obtaining a disguise? I may have an answer - if you add a Nazi soldier to your map and Strogov spawns as his default Actor, you cannot obtain that uniform because the disguise can only be obtained by Actors "StrogovCamo" and "StrogovYoung".

I know this because I experimented by adding Actor "SwissMan" to the Template level and spawning Actor "StrogovBlack". I knocked the guy out, but I can't steal his clothes because Actor StrogovBlack doesn't have a SwissMan skin.

I am using blank template and there is no disguise issue here , but overall the editor is quite difficult to use. Hopefully Alexey will buy some time and release video tutorial

Alexey, what are META files (when a mission has been exported, it overwrites the existing SWD and creates an SWD.meta file)? Are they important?

I got back and wanted to start working on my mod, but i see this game and forum dead. No responce from Alexey or anyone else.
I dont know what gonna happen with Alekhines Gun series in future, since first game was a flop. This is the end of DtS franchase Huh No mission packs, no extended gameplay features, no updates for editor? Case closed, time to move on? I wish someone can proof me wrong.

We all knew that Alekhine's Gun wasn't going to be a big success, its a niche genre, a small series, looks cheap to the average consumers eyes and it did launch next to a very similar game called Hitman6

If the series was at better hands right now (haggard games not maxgames), we could have seen the dev's fixing it and updating it more, adding new levels and bringing more attention and life to it, but thus far its been quiet, which means the publisher doesnt allow them to work on it due to it not selling well enough.

I do hope we see another game in this series in the future, it seems unlikely, i though the same after the DTS3 seemed to be cancelled but here we are 7 years later, with DTS3 (AG) who knows that will happen? Maybe the devs will leave Maxgames and form their own studio? maybe someone picks the the DTS licence and goes on?
Its too soon to write it off.

I think the game is quite good, its missing elements that made death to spies special and fun, mainly the huge levels/vehicles/prone, but it was quite good, the crashing bug is a pain and half the levels felt unfinished and/or average, the good ones though were really fun bringing classic stealth memories back, the story/voice acting is abysmal, so much so i wish i could remove it from the game entirely, but in the end its a solid game 6-7/10 but it needed more time&money

You right on the point here my good sir. I think Maximum Games rushed game too much to catch up with Hitman 6 release, which was a bad marketing plan. To top it off very strange creative decision was made. "Spiritual successor" throw away Death To Spies formula, compilation of best parts of Hidden and Dangerous, Commandos and Hitman, and replacing it charm with casual Hitman Absolution + Blood Money and modern Splinter Cell cover based stealth.

Now the funny part: Maximum Games blog have many great insightful articles about splinter cell, thief and stealth mechanics in general. They clearly had vision on how good game should look. And their dlc pdf document reveal, that company saw the future in AG series and willing to create new titles. I dont know who to blame for lot of missing features and mechanics, that make game feel unfinished.
I guess it modern gaming industry and console players, who clearly supossed to be target audience. It realy a shame how good old games destroyed in such greedy maner.

Like why big publishers scare to reimagine best features of legendary titles of the past and introduce new mechanics like Age of Wonders did. This game should be a model of business etiquette. Showing, that emphasis on gameplay is the right way to go. Like 85% gameplay and everything else to support, not otherwise. Plus AoW devs making their game for fans, not for lowest common denominator, known as casual gamers. And Triumph Studios one of the most responcible and interactive modern game developers. They create updates and expand game mechanics to this day, two years after game initial release, respond on forums almost immediately and even wrote great competitive guide for starters, published official modding tools and enjoy playing their own game to this day. And the reason is - no greedy publisher, that dont understand how to make games not only for console peasants. Or look at Xenonauts, which was real spiritual successor to Xcom, not casual 2012 and 2016 versions. And list goes on.

Compared to modern games AG was 7.5/10 (-0.5 for technical problems). Watered down version of DtS games with a lot of potential. Give devs more time and dont limit they so much. I can wait forever for release, if game will be polished, have great varied gameplay and tons of replayability. This game felt like Mafia 2 - ambitious game developers and big studio, pushing they stupid narrative.
